New Member Orientation

Go to the MakerFX Membership Page, choose your membership level (Individual, Family or Booster) and subscribe.
Download, Sign & Return the member waiver - either bring the paper version when you get your key, or email to treasurer@themakereffect.org
Click Slack Invitation to request a login for Slack.
- Download Slack for your phone / computer / etc, and check out the list of channels. Note that the MFO prefix channels are for Maker Faire Orlando business - as a MakerFX member, you likely want to be in the MFX prefixed channels :)
Click Register for a Makerfx.org Wordpress account - this account will be used to reserve time on tools
- After finishing your registration for makerfx.org wordpress, learn How to Reserve Time on Tools at MakerFX
Click here Wiki Account Request (info@MakerEffect.org) for a user account. Be sure to include a good e-mail address to send the temporary password to.
- After receiving your Wiki account info, setup your Wiki profile

Issuance of a key and member storage box

The wifi network is "MakerFX" and the password is "makestuff" as is posted on the wall under the stairs. (there is a member wifi password for the network that connects to the laser, 3d printers, etc. Ask a member for it...)
ADA compliant bathroom location
Show location of fire extinguishers and first aid kits.
Explain contributing to MakerFX by buying supplies through Amazon Smile
The offices on the second floor are off limits
