===Description===

Learn the basics of Arduino and electronics with our instructor. We will be using our DuinoKit Jr. learning kits (http://duinokit.com/store/home/8-duinokit-jr-754748002672.html).

This is also a great time to discuss your project with others that are interested in Arduino. You may also want to join the #arduino channel in our slack discussion group. (Request a slack invite here (http://www.makerfx.org/wp-login.php?action=slack-invitation))

If you are bringing your own computer, please install the latest Arduino IDE (https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software), and the CH340 USB drivers (http://sparks.gogo.co.nz/ch340.html) (or hit google). If you do not have a computer for this workshop, we will have Chromebooks available for use.

===Objectives===

* Student will distinguish analog and digital signals within the context of Arduino prototyping.
* Student will build simple circuits to demonstrate digital and analog IO.
* Student will code simple sketches using Arduino’s built-in methods.
* Student will integrate the 5 core capabilities into a simple game.
* Student will be able to describe the most common types of 3D Printing.
* Student will understand the limitations of FDM printing, and how do deal with them.
* Student will operate Slicing software to send a simple print to the printer.
