Common Configurations

Come back here after you have Fusion 360 installed. These are some configuration settings you can think about based on your objectives and personal preferences.

  • Click your name in the top right and select Preferences.
  • General
    • Default Modeling Orientation. The default is Y Up but you may find that Z Up is more natural for you.
  • Default Units for Design
    • Default is mm (millimeters). You can change that to inches or feet if you dont want to work with metric dimensions.
