Craftsman 12 inch Bandsaw-Sander

A band saw is basically a "curve cutting" machine. It is not capable of doing inside cutting. For inside cutting use our Dewalt 20 inch Scroll Saw. The Craftsman Band Saw-Sander is not only capable of the usual band saw operations, but it can he converted into a sander as well. You can finish wood, certain compositions and plastics. It is also used for straight-line cutting operations such as crosscutting, ripping, mitering, beveling, compound cutting, and resawing. The Craftsman 12" Bandsaw-Sander takes an 80" blade or an 80", 1/2" wide sanding belt.
There is a Vacuum port on the back of the saw. Hook the shop vac to the port during operations.
The blade width determines how tight a curve that can be cut.
The smallest radius a 1/8" wide blade is capable of cutting is 1/4" The smallest radius a 3/16" wide blade is capable of cutting is 1/2" The smallest radius a 1/4" wide blade is capable of cutting is 3/4" The smallest radius a 3/8" wide blade is capable of cutting is 1" The smallest radius a 1/2" wide blade is capable of cutting is 1.25"
